MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Police are beefing up security in response to the threat of a school shooting at Mooresville High on Thursday.
The social media threat had parents afraid.
The district said the threat could be against a school with the same name in Indiana, but they are taking it seriously.

“None of this is funny to anyone, especially those who have experienced that… or the people who are in the school and are terrified of that,” student Tyce Norman said.
The district will not close the school Thursday.
Police said extra officers will be there all week long.
