UNION COUNTY, N.C. — The Union County Sheriff’s Office is scheduled to conduct a training exercise at Porter Ridge High School on Thursday, which may result in an increased law enforcement presence in the area.
There is no threat to the community.
“We appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation as we continue to ensure our deputies are prepared and well-trained,” the sheriff said.
