WILMINGTON, N.C. — The television show "Sleepy Hollow" is wrapping up production of season two in Wilmington -- it's final year filming in North Carolina.
The show will produce next season's episodes in Georgia.
Wilmington's mayor called the move out of state devastating, and blames lawmakers who didn't renew tax incentives for film and TV production.
Productions used to be able to claim a 25 percent refund on production in North Carolina -- up to $20 million -- but there's now a grant fund with only $10 million total.
"Sleepy Hollow" joins shows "Banshee" and "Under the Dome" which have left the state for better incentives.
Last year a study found film and TV companies spent more than $1 billion over five years in North Carolina.
