CHARLOTTE — On the heels of news that its Gastonia store would close, this longtime antique business in the region is expanding -- and reimagining the experience it provides shoppers.

Sleepy Poet Antique Mall wrote on social media Monday that it has snagged 6 acres just a few miles down South Boulevard from its current location.

The new spot will accommodate more parking for the store as well as space for live music, food trucks and events.
