NORTH CAROLINA — Two small earthquakes shook western North Carolina this weekend.
The U.S. Geological Survey says both quakes had a magnitude of two.
One happened near Canton Saturday morning, and the other was near Weaverville Sunday morning.
Someone in Lexington, South Carolina (135 miles from Canton) reported they felt the ground shake.
Experts say earthquakes typically don’t damage buildings unless they’re above a five magnitude.
