CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A south Charlotte neighborhood came together Sunday to celebrate two high school seniors.
There were signs in the yards and balloons for seniors Lillie Anne Suber and Josie Lewis. The are graduating from South Meck High School.
The grads got to drive by in their caps and gowns to cheers from their friends, family and neighbors.

“I definitely wish we could have had the normal in-person graduation, but seeing the community come together like this and everyone supporting like this means a lot,” said Lewis.
Suber and Lewis will be heading to University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill together for college and they’ll be rooming together.
“It was really special," Suber said. “Josie and I have grown up together we’ve known each other since 2nd grade.”
