CHARLOTTE — Word of several restaurant closures around town has trickled out in recent days, ranging from relatively new eateries to a long-standing establishment. Among the latest is Bocado Bar & Diner, which replaced the old Big Ben Pub at South End’s Atherton Mill just last summer.

The restaurant announced on social media that its Charlotte location has closed. It notes that a new concept will take that space.

Others include Central Coffee, also in South End, and Carolina Prime Steakhouse, which operated for 17 years on Woodlawn Road.
