CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after they said a southeast Charlotte Wendy's restaurant was robbed at knifepoint overnight.
Police said that around 12:30 a.m. two teenage boys reached through the drive-thru window of the Wendy’s on Independence Boulevard at Idlewild Road with a knife, grabbed cash and ran off.

An officer saw one of the boys running through a nearby apartment complex and caught him.
He has been arrested and is facing charges.
Police said the other suspect escaped.
Wednesday's incident is the second time in two weeks someone robbed that particular Wendy's.
Detectives said the crimes are unrelated.
