STANLEY, N.C. — On Wednesday evening, the Stanley Town Council will decide what to do with an aging sewer treatment system.
Their decision could lead to a sewer rate increase.
One option is to link up Stanley's sewer system and become a Gastonia water and sewer customer, which would not lead to a rate increase.
Another is to send waste to Mount Holly to treat or fix and upgrade the current watershed treatment plant.
The last two options would cost customers.
