CHARLOTTE, N.C. — People are willing to wait in long lines and spend big bucks for the odds to be in their favor.
Monday night's Mega Millions jackpot is at more than $300 million and Saturday night's Powerball is more than $380 million with the next drawing.
[Friday's Mega Millions Drawing for $306 million was 28, 4, 10, 62, 18 - 7]
"I've seen people spend about a good $200 on Powerball and on Mega Millions. I've seen them spend a good $50," BP clerk Elijah Daniel said.

The gas station on Sugar Creek Road has been so busy store clerks had to input numbers manually in the system. The store ran out of slips to play Powerball Friday morning.
“We have nonstop people coming in and out,” Daniels said. “We have to literally put them in manually.”
Lotto players have flooded stores all day. Daniels tells Channel 9 that he sold more than $2,000 worth of tickets in less than two hours.

Anita Taylor buys lotto tickets at the same gas station every night and has won. She said Friday night is no exception.
“I feel like I’m going to be a millionaire tomorrow,” Taylor said.
Experts said the odds of winning both the Powerball and Mega Millions is one in 88 quadrillion.
