LANCASTER, S.C. — A student was sent to the hospital after someone sprayed pepper spray at a high school in Lancaster County.
School officials said someone sprayed what is believed to be pepper spray into the hallway at Indian Land High School around 9:30 a.m. A student with medical concerns was sent to the hospital. Other students were complaining of exposure symptoms, according to officials.

Paramedics were on site and treated any other student who had medical concerns.
The sheriff’s office is investigating potential charges.
Officials said the building is secure and parents who have concerns can reach out to the school.
