NEWTON, N.C. — A tip led investigators to a jail in western North Carolina, where they identified a suspect in a recent armed robbery at a Newton pharmacy.
Police said the robber told the employee at a CVS that his girlfriend had been kidnapped and to give him painkillers.
Investigators have warrants for robbery with a dangerous weapon for Cody Jamerson, who is currently in the Madison County Jail on unrelated charges.
