CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Velvet Taco is shaking up its plans for Charlotte.
The Dallas-based taco concept has added a South End location to its lineup — and walked away from plans for Plaza Midwood at this time.

Expect Velvet Taco to open a 3,200-square-foot restaurant in South End next spring. That restaurant, which will include an 800-square-foot patio, will be located at 2170 Hawkins St., says spokeswoman Cassie Cooper.
She confirmed that Velvet Taco has walked away from plans to modify the former Dairy Queen site on Central Avenue.
