APEX, N.C. — A teenage girl was found shot inside a home in Apex early Thursday, according to Wake County Sheriff’s Office.
Our partners at WTVD reported that deputies arrived at the home on Copperhead Road around 2:30 a.m. They found the girl lying on the floor inside the house with gunshot wounds.

She was rushed to the hospital but did not survive. Her name has not yet been released.
Deputies told WTVD that other family members were inside the home when the shooting happened and called 911.
Authorities are searching for a person of interest in the shooting but have not said who.
