ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A man wanted in connection with a homicide in Dallas, Texas was captured Tuesday in Rowan County, officials said.
Eric Warren McLendon, 51, of West Ridge Road in Salisbury, was arrested and charged in the March 3 beating death of a 32-year-old woman.
McLendon is a registered sex offender after a rape conviction in Iowa.
McLendon was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center without bail and awaits extradition back to Texas to face the murder charges.
