CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Myers Park was a popular place for high-priced residential real estate sales in July.

More than half of the 10 most-expensive homes sales in Mecklenburg County last month came from that neighborhood, including the top overall sale found just off Queens Road near the East Morehead Street intersection. That 6,287-square-foot home sold in mid-July for $2.4 million.

Sitting on more than a half-acre lot, the home includes six bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms and is within walking distance of the historic Duke Mansion in the upscale Charlotte neighborhood. It was built in 1989 and last sold for $1.575 million in June 2016, according to county property records.
In addition to Myers Park, the Palisades community near Lake Wylie, The Peninsula in Cornelius, Davidson and Charlotte’s Montibello neighborhood are home to the county’s most-expensive residential sales last month. Those top 10 home sales ranged in price from $1.4 million to $2.4 million.
