Novant Health received “A” ratings for its 11 hospitals based on the latest Leapfrog Group analysis.
The Leapfrog Group is a nonprofit that awards “A” through “F” ratings biannually for hospitals nationwide by measuring safety, quality and patient experience. It evaluates how well hospitals prevent procedural errors and infections, plus their work toward patient satisfaction. The latest results drew data from multiple years, ranging from 2017 to 2021. Almost 3,000 hospitals were evaluated.

Winston-Salem-based Novant said it is the largest health-care system in North Carolina to receive “A” ratings for all of its hospitals.
Seven Atrium Health hospitals here, including Carolinas Medical Center, also received “A” ratings. So did CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia and Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.
