LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — An 18-year-old was killed and six other people were hurt after two cars crashed in Lancaster County Saturday evening, according to the Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 521 and Shiloh Unity Road.
Troopers said a Volkswagen sedan was traveling south on the highway, and a Honda sedan traveling north tried to turn left onto Shiloh Unity Road. They said the driver of the Honda failed to yield right of way and was stuck by the car traveling south.

A rear passenger in the Honda, Saquan Crouch, was taken to a hospital where he died, officials said.
The driver and a passenger in the Volkswagen, and the driver and four passengers in the Honda were taken to a local hospital for their injuries.
The driver of the Honda is being charged with failure to yield right of way at an intersection.
The crash is being investigated by South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
