I-77 North was shut down while troopers worked to clear the interstate.
Troopers said a tractor-trailer side-swiped a tow truck that was parked in the emergency lane, went off the road, hit a tree, and overturned.
The tractor-trailer driver died but the driver of the tow truck wasn’t hurt, troopers said.
