CHESTERFIELD, S.C. — Troopers are investigating a crash that killed a driver Thursday afternoon in Chesterfield.
The driver failed to yield to an oncoming car, turning left onto Highway 9 at Thompson Creek Road, investigators said.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, troopers said.
The passenger was taken to the hospital.
The other driver had minor injuries.
The victim's name who died in the crash has not been released.
