GASTONIA — A truck carrying highly-explosive material overturned Monday afternoon on Highway 321 in Gastonia, officials said.
The truck was carrying ammonium nitrate and blasting caps when it crashed near Interstate 85.
The driver couldn't slow down in time for stalled traffic and flipped the truck.
The highway was shutdown for about one hour while hazmat crews and emergency officials investigated the scene.
