CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Transportation Security Administration officials said they found a record-breaking amount of guns in carry-on bags this week, including one in Charlotte.
Officials found 74 guns in carry-on bags across the country this week.
Charlotte airport officials said they've found more than 20 guns this year as compared to 12 this time last year.
Sixty-five guns were loaded while 18 had a round in the chamber.
The TSA found 73 guns last month. One of those guns was found at Charlotte Douglas airport on May 20.
