TSA implements fee for passengers without Real ID or passport

CHARLOTTE — Sunday was the first day some passengers had to pay to fly.

Anyone without a Real ID or passport will face a $45 screening fee.

The TSA ConfirmID fee requires people to verify their identity through a system before they can pass through TSA.

The verification is valid for 10 days.
