STATESVILLE, N.C. — Two people were severely burned in an early morning fire in Statesville, authorities said.
The fire happened at a home at 2145 Buffalo Shoals Road.

Several fire crews were called to the scene around 2:30 a.m. and had the blaze under control within a half-hour.
Two people were hospitalized with serious injuries, though their names and exact conditions have not yet been released.
