CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A group of pediatricians at UNC Children’s Hospital welcomed the new year with their own dance video.
Set to Whitney Houston’s “I Want to Dance With Somebody,” the group said they wanted to do this to thank their team for working hard to help kids recover from cancer amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We wanted to offer a gift of joy, love and happiness to thank everyone who has been working so hard at the hospital and helping children during the pandemic,” Pediatric oncologist Dr. Stuart Gold said in a statement. “It was a way to start 2021 with a smile.”
WRAL reports the video was filmed in mid-December when the clinic was closed, and they kept it a secret until it was sent to the staff on New Year’s Day.
