UNC professor locked in Argentinian prison asking for raise

NORTH CAROLINA — A UNC professor is locked up in an Argentinian prison, but he is still asking for a raise.

Paul Frampton has been jailed in Buenos Aires since January after cocaine was found in his checked luggage.

Frampton said he's found evidence that suggests his pay should be twice as high as his current suspended $107,000 a year.

In June, a judge denied his request to have his pay restored.
