UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Union County Public Schools shared the top priorities of its strategic plan this week.
The plan outlines initiatives the district intends to take on over the next five years.
Improving safety is one of four priorities for the district.
The plan also focuses on mental health services, preparing students for new technology and increasing education retention and growth opportunities.
The district also hopes to strengthen relationships and create more partnerships with parents and communities.
