CHARLOTTE — UnitedHealthcare members who use CaroMont Health are getting some good news.

Action 9′s Jason Stoogenke found out both sides have worked out a deal with just days to spare.

Their current contract was up on April 1. After that, United members would have had to pay out-of-network at many CaroMont facilities or find new doctors.

Patients who got United specifically through their employer and use any of the CaroMont facilities listed below, would have had to pay out-of-network prices for everything service there, or would they would have had to switch doctors.

However, the parties agreed to terms through March 31, 2025. This means those patients will remain in-network with no disruption in their service.

The following were the affected CaroMont facilities:

  • Regional Medical Center
  • Regional Medical Center-Mount Holly
  • Cancer Center
  • Lincoln Cancer Center
  • Outpatient Surgery
  • A few others
