CHARLOTTE — Election polls open at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in North Carolina and at 7 p.m. in South Carolina and many voters are, to say the least, anxious about the outcome.

“Unlike anything I have ever seen in nearly 20 years of studying this state,” said Michael Bitzer, a political expert.
