CHARLOTTE — An Uptown office tower will be converted into a hotel and apartment complex.
Spandrel Development Partners plans to transform the tower at 400 S. Tryon St. into a W Hotels property.
The development will include 173 guest rooms, 27 suites and Charlotte’s highest rooftop bar.
The former office tower, built in the 1970s, will also feature 399 apartment units.
