CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Fans of Halcyon have one last chance to enjoy some of their favorite dishes at the restaurant.
That uptown fine-dining venue will open for three final weekends in December before permanently shuttering operations.

Reservations are required for the five-course offering.
“All things have a season,” says Jill Marcus, president of Mother Earth Group. “We’ve been a successful restaurant. Sometimes it’s just time. Restaurants run their course.”
Halcyon has been closed since early June because of slower traffic uptown.

A new, still-to-be-named concept by Mother Earth Group is in the works for that roughly 4,000-square-foot space at the Mint Museum, Marcus says.
