CHARLOTTE — Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard closed Wednesday between College and Brevard streets for road improvements.
Crews in Uptown are putting down new asphalt, improving bike lanes and upgrading loading access around the Charlotte Convention Center.

During the course of the closure, drivers can use Brooklyn Village Avenue as an alternate route.
The work is scheduled to wrap up by Nov. 3.
