US Department of Labor investigates Clinton College for missing paychecks

ROCK HILL, S.C. — The U.S. Department of Labor is now investigating complaints about missing paychecks at Clinton College in Rock Hill.

Channel 9 reported that some workers said they did not get paid. Others said they were paid late or were not paid the full amount they were owed.

The school’s federal accreditor is also investigating.

The South Carolina Department of Labor says it received seven complaints between June and August.

Only two of those employees have been paid.

The college’s president said there were funding lapses.
