CHARLOTTE — A vehicle crash into a power pole shut down all lanes of South Tryon near West Arrowood on Sunday.

A Channel 9′s photographer was at the scene and saw a car overturned and wrapped in wires below a pole that had snapped in half.

The top half of the pole was suspended by power lines, but many power lines were on the ground.

Channel 9′s photographer said there were two cars involved in the accident, one of which has been towed.

Two patients were transported to Atrium CMC with minor injuries, according to MEDIC.

Around 11 a.m., the Charlotte Fire Department alerted the public to the traffic disruption due to an accident.

Duke Energy reported a few outages in the area but has not revealed the cause of those outages yet.
