CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A SouthPark location of Duckworth’s Grill & Taphouse is in the works.
Veteran restaurateur Rob Duckworth confirmed he’s snagged a nearly 9,000-square-foot space at 4625 Piedmont Row Drive. That space was formerly home to TacoMac, which closed in May 2019.

SouthPark is a good market for the concept and the timing was right; the deal was in the works before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. He said the potential reward outweighs the risk of moving forward with a new restaurant.
“We’re excited to be down there,” he said. “I feel like it could fill a void.”
Duckworth said timing for that restaurant to open will depend on the pandemic.
