CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 93-year-old veteran received his high school diploma from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools 70 years after he left to fight in World War II.
Ralph England attended Berryhill High School in west Charlotte. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and deployed before getting his degree.
