CHINA GROVE, N.C. — Saturday marked three years since Rowan County teenager Erica Parsons was reported missing.
She was last seen in November of 2011 but her family didn't report her missing until July 30, 2013.
At the time she was just 13 years old.
Community members came together and held a vigil for Parsons Saturday night at Lake Corriher in China Grove.
A new poster released last week by the FBI shows what the teen may look like now at 17 years old.
Just this week, Channel 9 spoke with Parson's family members, who said that her adoptive father knows where she is but will not share the information.
Erica’s adoptive parents, Casey and Sandy Parsons, are serving federal prison sentences for fraud charges. Investigators said they collected thousands of dollars in benefits meant for Erica after she disappeared.
