HICKORY, N.C. — An elderly woman accidentally drove into the front of the Food Lion on North Center Street Wednesday afternoon in Hickory, leaving a gaping hole in the front of the building.
The store had to close for the day following the crash.

Eyewitnesses told Channel 9 reporter Dave Faherty that no one was hurt.
There’s no word on what caused the crash, or if any charges will be filed.
