RALEIGH — Brittany Williams, of Wadesboro, bought a $5 scratch-off and won a $200,000 top prize, N.C. Education Lottery officials said.
Williams bought her Mega Bucks ticket from the Marathon Food Center on U.S. 74 East in Polkton.
She arrived at lottery headquarters to claim her prize and, after taxes, took home $144,021.
The Mega Bucks game debuted with five top prizes of $200,000. Two $200,000 prizes remain.
