CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte woman told Channel 9 she believes the man who beat her nearly to death is one of Charlotte's most notorious serial killers.

In a Channel 9 Investigation, police said they think Henry Wallace may have had more victims.  Alvonna Neal said she's one of them.

In September 1992, Neal, who was a 21-year-old stripper then, had a party at her west Charlotte home.

A family member brought Henry Louis Wallace, she said. Neal said Wallace offered to drive her to the store to get more drinks.

"He said I heard you were a dancer," Neal said. "I said, 'Yeah.' He said, 'You know you can make us some money.'"

Neal said she turned Wallace down and that's when he got upset.

Neal begged Wallace to take her back home. She said he agreed, but drove down an extremely dark and desolate portion of the Billy Graham Parkway.

Neal said Wallace ordered her out of his car. She realized he got out too.

"As I looked back, he grabbed me and slung me over into some bushes and stuff. He was beating me in my head and he says you fixing to die," Neal said.

She said she fought and screamed as Wallace was beating her when she saw police arrive to the scene.

Neal said police fought with Wallace and then took him into custody.

She never pressed charges.

It wasn't until two years later she discovered the man who confessed to killing 10 young women came extremely close to killing her too.
