ROCK HILL, S.C. — Police in Rock Hill said two men have been arrested after they robbed a woman at gunpoint Monday morning as she was heading to make a bank deposit for a local restaurant.
The woman had just pulled into the parking lot of the Wells Fargo branch on Celanese Road and was getting out of her car when she told police a pickup truck parked behind her.
She said a man got out of the truck, pointed a gun at her and demanded the deposit bag. After stealing the bag, the suspect got back in the truck with another subject and sped off.
Dozens of officers responded to the scene and both men were captured a few hours later. They were identified as Tearance McDougald and Ishmael Muhammad.
Muhammad was charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon, criminal conspiracy, and fugitive from justice.
McDougald was charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
