CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman said a stranger took pictures up her skirt at about 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Blakeney Shopping Center Target in south Charlotte.
"Male suspect possibly took pictures up her dress,” according to the police report.
The woman who filed the report did not want to be identified but said the alleged incident happened while she was shopping.
She said the man stood uncomfortably close to her and took off afterwards and eventually darted out of the store.
"You have kids with you and you're not looking who's taking pictures of you and your skirt, so it's very scary," shopper Carolina Delamora said.
Police would not release the surveillance video Wednesday and said they are investigating.
Target released a statement:
“At Target, our guests are at the center of everything we do and our commitment to creating a safe and secure shopping environment in our stores is unwavering. As a part this commitment to safety, we have robust procedures, policies and trainings in place to ensure that our stores are safe places to shop and work.”
