SALISBURY, N.C. — A 53-year-old woman was shot in the stomach around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday in Salisbury, police said.
The shooting happened at 711 S. Martin Luther King Blvd. at the Brookview Apartments.
The victim, Felicia Martin, was taken to the hospital before being flown to N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
Her current condition has not been released.
The suspect remained at the scene and is in custody but police have not released any details about a motive or charges.
