CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Mecklenburg County district attorney hosted an awards ceremony to recognize people in the community who helped the criminal justice system.
One of the awards went to a woman who was tied up, beaten and left bruised by three teenagers - one as young as 14 years old - in Dec. 2014 in northwest Charlotte.
The district attorney said her cooperation led to the conviction of the suspects.
