Man dies in fall at Myrtle Beach hotel

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A 22-year-old man has died after falling seven floors from the balcony of a Myrtle Beach hotel.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler says the fall happened shortly after midnight Thursday. The name of the victim has not been released while family members are notified.

Authorities are investigating but they do not suspect foul play. A police report says an officer was flagged down by the manager of the Windsurfer Motel on North Ocean Boulevard at the time of the fall.

The victim was found on the ground near the hotel pool.
