CHARLOTTE — The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services won’t be pulling funding from a Charlotte nursing home, after all.
CMS had said in mid-March that Peak Resources-Charlotte, located on Central Avenue, failed to substantially comply with Medicare and Medicaid health and safety participation requirements. CMS initially said it would no longer pay for skilled nursing facility services given to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries admitted to the Peak Resources-Charlotte after December 29, 2022.

On Wednesday, March 29, CMS said it “determined that Peak Resources- Charlotte ... is in substantial compliance with Medicare regulations.”
With that statement, CMS said it was not terminating the agreement with Peak Resources.
