WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police in Winston-Salem say a worker found a dead cow wrapped in a tarp at a park.
The Winston-Salem Journal reports Winston-Salem police Lt. Jeff Branham said city sanitation workers removed the remains from Quarry Park on Tuesday morning.

Branham said he isn't sure whether leaving the cow in the park is a crime. But according to North Carolina law, the city of Winston-Salem can charge the cow's owner for the cost of removing it from the park.
Branham said investigators have no leads so far.
