CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — A cab driver was shot in the head just after 12 p.m. Wednesday on Rose Ridge Place, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

The man was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
Officers said the shooting happened during the course of a robbery. They said he was dropping off passengers at Pressley Ridge Apartments when he was shot. The driver hadn't put the car into park yet, and it rolled forward into a building inside the complex after he was shot. The man then got out of the car and collapsed on the walkway, police said.
Detectives said they are looking for two black males and one white male in connection with the shooting. Witnesses reported seeing the men running from the cab after it happened.
The building that the cab hit doesn't have any obvious structural damage, police said.
