GASTONIA, N.C.,None — As a registered sex offender the law does not allow Johnny Eric Revels to be places used primarily by young children.
But last month officers with the Gastonia Police Department said Revels was at Kate's Skating Rink when the vast majority of those present were under the age of 16.
Revels, 38, of 4613 King Crowder Drive, was arrested Thursday on a charge of sex offender/child premises charge. He was booked into Gaston County Jail on a $25,000 bond. The incident occurred on May 28, according to a warrant affidavit, which does not explain the delay in the time of the incident and the date of the arrest.
A Gaston County court convicted Revels on Feb. 7, 2005, of four counts of indecent liberties with a child. He was confined for 16 months and had to register as a sex offender.
