CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Homicide detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are investigating a fatal stabbing that left one man dead and a woman seriously injured.
Police said the stabbing happened just after 2:00 a.m. in the 2300 block of Ginger Lane in east Charlotte Sunday.
When police arrived, they found both the male and female inside a car with multiple stab wounds.
The man died at the scene and the female was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives have identified the deceased man, but they are not releasing his name until his family has been notified.
Right now, CMPD is still investigating the stabbing.
